Eurostar has become the number one choice for trips on the London-
Paris and London-Brussels routes.
Today 2 out of 3 travellers from London to Paris take the Eurostar,
and only 1 in 10 go for its nearest competitor, British Airways. Millions
of customers travelled on Eurostar in the last year.
On Wednesday, 14 November 2007, Eurostar launches services from
St Pancras International, the new home in the heart of London. Tickets
are now on sale, book now and be one of the first to experience faster
journeys on High Speed 1.
St Pancras International will be much more than just a station. It will be
a place to meet, eat, and shop till you drop.
The original St Pancras station, with its vast single span roof and
Victorian Gothic façade, opened in 1868 and became a London icon.
Now fully restored to house the 400-metre-long Eurostar trains, and
given a stunning contemporary twist, it has been reborn as St Pancras
International.
St Pancras International will offer a range of shops, bars and
restaurants, unlike anything ever seen in a UK station.
There’s a world-class brasserie, Europe’s longest champagne bar, and
a daily farmers’ market A mix of independent and boutique retailers
brings you the best of London, Paris and Brussels.
With a range of shops and cafes, as well as WiFi connectivity, the
stylish Eurostar Lounges are ideal for work, rest or play.
Connections are outstanding, with six underground lines and seven rail
companies operating from St Pancras International, King’s Cross and
nearby Euston.
The future of short-haul travel Of course, Eurostar isn’t just the
environmentally friendly option – it’s also a seamless, direct, and
relaxing alternative to flying. Especially now that High Speed 1 has
connected the UK to Europe’s ever- expanding high speed rail network.
In 2007 alone, new lines are joining Paris to Strasbourg and Brussels
to Amsterdam. And in the years ahead, the network will extend to
Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and beyond.
Special Travel Needs We’re here to help
We have people on hand at all our terminals in case you need a hand getting to (or from) any of our trains.
Just try and arrive early (about 45 minutes before your train leaves) and let us know.
Toilets And Baby Changing Facilities In all of our terminals and at the end of every single carriage on our trains,
you can find a toilet. If you’re a baby and need changing, you’ll need to crawl your way to carriage 1 or 18.
Wheelchair Users
We have a wheelchair user fare so that you can travel with us in your own wheelchair in a special part of the
train. One travelling companion can accompany you at a reduced rate. Feel free to email us and we’ll help
make arrangements for you.
Unaccompanied Minors
We don’t let children under the age of twelve onto our trains by themselves. However, we will consider doing
this for 13 to 17 year olds so feel free to email us and we can discuss your situation.
Special Meals
When booking Business Premier or Leisure select you will be requested to indicate whether you have any
specific dietary requirements. You will be able to choose from the following meal options: Vegetarian,
kosher, halal, vegan, diabetic, low fat, low salt and gluten free. For vegetarian meals, we require 12 hours
notice in advance of travel. For kosher, Muslim or vegan meals, we require 36 hours advance notice.
Pets
We’re delighted to be able to tell you that guide dogs are accepted on board. Unfortunately, these are the
only animals that can travel on Eurostar: elephants, cobras and foxes are all still a definite no, no.
Message for all non-European Economic Area citizens travelling from Paris Gare du Nord terminal on
Eurostar:
Citizens of non-European Economic Area countries must complete a landing card before arriving at
Eurostar check-in. Landing cards are available from dedicated desks in front of the check-in area and from
Eurostar staff. This card must then be handed to UK Immigration staff.
They're only small so kids under 4 don't need a ticket,
just pop them onto your lap.
